FAQ

QUOTE, BUDGET & PREPARATION

Do you have a form to help us write a brief?

Yes. A clear brief allows us to offer you a precise and tailored response. If you prefer to discuss it directly, we are also available to assist you in formulating your needs.

What is the cost of a film?

The budget varies based on several criteria: filming duration, team size, editing complexity, distribution formats…

In the case of an exhibition recording with interview(s), our projects start around €2,500, but you should generally allow around €3,500 (excl. VAT) for a day of shooting with post-production.

Can you send a quote quickly?

Yes. If you have a brief, even a short one, send it to contact@artykfilm.fr. We respond within 48 hours. In case of emergency, within 24 hours.

Are there any additional costs after the quote?

No. Costs only change if the brief evolves. For example, if additional services are requested (e.g., an extra day of shooting, purchase of archive footage, specific animations). Each adjustment is validated with you in advance, in writing.

What are your payment terms?

• 50% upon project confirmation
• 50% upon delivery (payment within 30 days)

What level of involvement do you expect from us?

We handle artistic and technical direction. But your vision is essential! A well-defined brief is ideal. We also encourage your participation at certain key stages (preparation, filming, version validation).

What is the ideal video length?

It depends on the format and objective:

• Teaser: 15 to 30 seconds
• Social media: 1 minute
• Web presentation: 1 to 2 minutes
• Documentary or editorial content: up to 15 minutes

We often suggest creating several versions for different platforms.

FILMING

What space should be planned for a shoot?

For an interview, a quiet room about 6 x 4 meters is ideal, with the possibility of controlling light and sound. We can visit the location in advance or work from photos.

How many people are required for a shoot?

For a typical shoot (interview + additional footage):

• 1 director or project manager
• 1 director of photography
• Sometimes 1 sound technician, depending on needs

How much time should be planned for an interview?

Around 4 hours (setup, filming, packing). For two interviews: 5 hours.
Each interview usually lasts between 30 and 60 minutes.

Who conducts the interview?

Our director. They know how to guide the conversation, highlight the statements visually, while ensuring smooth technical execution. You are of course welcome to attend and intervene if needed.

How to prepare interviewees?

Sending questions in advance is a good idea. It's better to think of 2 or 3 key points per question rather than writing full answers: this helps keep the speech natural and fluid.

What outfit do you recommend for the shoot?

• Avoid busy patterns and all-white or all-black outfits
• Prefer solid, sober colors
• No visible logos
• Avoid noisy jewelry (bracelets, necklaces), as it can be heard in the microphone
• Wear proper shoes (wide shots may be included)

Do you also offer photos during filming?

Yes, our team can capture behind-the-scenes images. For a complete photo report, we can include a dedicated photographer in the project.

POST-PRODUCTION & DELIVERY

Do you integrate voice-overs?

Yes. We offer a selection of professional voices based on the desired tone. You choose from three proposals.

Do you create graphic animations?

Yes, according to your needs:

• Title cards and animated texts
• Simple graphics (maps, diagrams)
• More elaborate 2D/3D animations

We ensure consistency with your visual identity guidelines.

What kind of music do you use?

Royalty-free music from professional libraries. We suggest several options for you to approve before integration.

Do you add subtitles?

Yes:

• Open subtitles (integrated into the video) for social media
• .srt files (closed captions) for YouTube/Vimeo or documentaries, in several languages if needed

Can images be extracted from the video?

Yes, for web usage. For high-quality printed visuals, we recommend a dedicated photo shoot.

Do you offer professional color grading?

Yes. We have strong expertise in color grading, from vintage looks to high-end renderings.
Upon request, we can ensure faithful color reproduction – ideal for artworks or products – thanks to calibration charts and a rigorous workflow.

We do not use pre-made LUTs: the color grading we apply enhances the emotion and style sought, without ever appearing artificial. The result remains smooth, natural, and serves the image.

How many validation versions are included?

Two feedback cycles are included in each project.

What is the editing timeframe?

For a standard film, allow 5 to 10 business days after filming (depending on feedback). More complex formats require additional time.

Can the video be modified or reused later?

Yes. We archive the raw footage and can re-edit or adapt the film for your future needs.

Do you offer online hosting?

We deliver files optimized for all your channels (website, social media, video platforms).
You retain control over your content, but we can assist with uploading or creating visuals (thumbnails, titles, etc.).
