Artist films, documentaries & heritage
Based in Paris, Artykfilm supports artists, galleries, museums, foundations, art centers and cultural institutions in the production of documentaries, artist portraits, exhibition films, interviews and audiovisual content related to heritage.
Our approach combines documentary sensitivity, strong visual attention and an understanding of the specific challenges of artistic and heritage projects: conveying a creative process, documenting a gesture, making an artwork visible, accompanying an exhibition or creating an audiovisual archive.

For which projects?
We work across a range of formats: artist portraits, exhibition films, contemporary art documentaries, filmed interviews, studio films, films about craftsmanship or restoration, cultural mediation videos, heritage films, exhibition teasers and archive-based edits.
Formats and deliverables
Each project can be conceived as a standalone film or adapted into several formats: main film, short version, teaser, excerpts for social media, edited interview, subtitles, web exports, archive master or projection-ready formats.
A documentary and visual approach
We favor a restrained approach, attentive to the subject, the gestures and the places. The film may draw on interviews, observation, material details, archives, work sounds or the relationship between an artwork and its exhibition context.
The goal is not only to produce a communication video, but to create a precise, readable and lasting audiovisual object, able to accompany an artwork, an artist, an exhibition or a heritage project.
